How it works

Point the camera at a monument and take the photo, or pick one from your library. The app works out where it was taken on its own, says what it is, and starts talking about it in the voice and persona you chose when you set it up. Talk over it or type; walk away when you’ve heard enough. Every monument it recognises becomes a visit in your passport, and every city you visit earns a stamp that deepens as you meet more of the place.

It didn’t recognise something

That happens: a shaky photo, standing too close, or a building that isn’t on any list. Nothing is saved, and a failed scan never counts against your day. Try again from further back, with the whole building in the frame.

It got something wrong

The identification comes from a language model, and a model can be confidently wrong. Delete the visit from its own page; that removes it from your passport and from the app’s memory together. Anything it tells you is worth checking before you repeat it.

Changing the voice, the language, or what it talks about

Settings, from the bottom of your passport. Everything you answered at setup can be changed there, and nowhere else.

Memberships

Three scans a day are free, forever. A trip pass or a membership lifts that ceiling and nothing else. Both are billed by Apple through your Apple ID. A trip pass lasts 14 days and ends on its own. The yearly membership is managed and cancelled in Apple’s settings: open Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone. Deleting the app does not cancel a membership. If you reinstalled and your membership isn’t showing, use Restore purchases in Settings.

Your data

The privacy policy says exactly what the app keeps and who sees it. To delete everything, open Settings in the app and choose Delete account. It removes the account, every visit, photograph and transcript, immediately, on the servers and on the phone.
